Pyin Oo Lwin
Founded by the British in 1896, the town was originally called Maymyo. Pyin Oo Lwin was famous mostly for its fruit, jams, vegetables and fruit wines. Pyin Oo Lwin offers visitors cool days and nights, peaceful rural roads and tracks for walkers and cyclists, trekking in the fruit and flower producing countryside, and interesting shopping.
